Pastor Daniel
Calvary Chapel Vancouver is the home to Pastor Daniel and his wife Karen: both of whom are natives of the Southwest. They met in California at Calvary Chapel Bible Collage and married in July of 1996. After an internship at Calvary Chapel de Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Lord led them to come and serve in the Pacific Northwest. They started attending Calvary Chapel Vancouver in July 1997 and immediately fell in love with the church body in Vancouver. Pastor Daniel led our Youth Group and served on staff as assistant Pastor before he was asked to become the senior Pastor of the church in January of 2000.
In January of 2007 Daniel and Karen were blessed to finalize the adoption of their teenage daughter from Liberia, Sameayah.
Ricardo Romero
Ricardo (Rick) comes to us from the Land of Enchantment, where he was raised in Albuquerque. In 1995, he attended the School of Ministry at Calvary of Albuquerque. After graduating he felt led to serve the Lord in the Northwest and moved to Tacoma, Washington. He then moved to Southern Washington State in 2000 where he met his new church family here at Calvary Chapel Vancouver.
After attending four years of Bible college in Kentucky, Rick was asked to come on staff as Pastor Daniel’s assistant in May of 2006. Rick oversees the Ministry Center, teaches at the School of Ministry, and occasionally teaches for Pastor Daniel. Rick gets his philosophy of ministry from his heroes John MacArthur, Chuck Smith, and his Pastor from Louisville, Ryan Fullerton. “My goal in ministry is to be Jesus to the sheep and to establish the throne and dominion of God on the hearts of every individual I serve.”
Rick is privileged to be married to Gina. They have three children - Freja, Elsa, Robert and Lorenzo. They are expecting another child any day now!

She originally comes from Inglewood, California and was saved at Calvary Costa Mesa back in the early 70’s. She moved to the Northwest to see how the Lord could use her in a different region.
Norah has three children and 7 grandchildren. All of her family lives in the Northwest and have been great influences on our church body. Norah is loved by all and has been a great servant over the years helping endlessly in any area needed.
