Ministries
Here at Calvary Chapel Vancouver we desire to serve everyone from infants to the elderly. Below you will find some of our current ministries and links to their information.
Men’s Ministry - Our Men’s Ministry is here to help men in their walks as Christians. We want the men of our church to be Godly fathers, husbands and friends. The head of this ministry is Rick Romero. The men’s ministry meets every Friday at 6:00 a.m. to pray for the foundation of our church and to pray for the needs of other men but we are taking a break for the summer. Our study in James meets every/other Saturday at the Ministry Center at 8:00 a.m. Please pick up your homework in the foyer at Discovery Middle School on Sunday mornings. Our Tuesday Small Group has changed location to Courtyard Village Senior Living at 4555 NE 66th Avenue at 6:30 a.m.
Women’s Ministry - The women’s ministry is lead by Janet LaPore and always has something going on. They meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for a time of prayer for the church, it’s leaders and the general body. We’re also starting a three-part study on “Portrait of a Godly Woman” which will be held at the home of Gwyne Griffin every/other week. Please check your bulletin for more information. We’re looking forward to our Fall Retreat in September.
High School - We are doing a discipleship program where the boys and girls meet separately and we discuss the deeper things in the Word of God. The groups are kept small in order to best understand eachother and to meet the needs of the individual. We also meet with Jr. High students on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. where we simply study though the Bible and have some fun on the side.
Jr. High - Jr. High meets on Sunday mornings and every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as part of our mid-week service with the High school group.
Children’s Ministry - Children’s ministry is provided for our Sunday and Wednesday services. We offer age specific classes so that the children can be ministered to where they are at in life. Steve & Terri Moeller are our Children’s ministry coordinators. If you would like to participate in this ministry please see Steve or Terri or talk to Norah at our office.
Want to Help? - We are always wanting to get people involved in ministry around the church in areas they would like to serve. If you have a desire to serve in any particular area feel free to talk to one of our elders, Pastor Daniel, Pastor Rick or call our office and see what needs are out there. From setting up cleaning up to the more technical we want to help you get plugged in to our body.
