We’re about 15 minutes from dinner time, so I thought I’d get out a quick email.
We’ve had a good day.  We were at our compound this AM - waiting once again…We were supposed to be picked up about 9 AM, but that ended up happening about 11:30 instead.  Oh well, the nice thing about Africa is that nobody actually expects you to be on time!
We went out to an area called Ongotu Rongi - very near where the Calvary Chapel is.  There’s a missionary couple from California that live out in that area so we went to visit with them.  Very nice couple.  They rent an apartment in this beautiful homestead that literally overlooks a national wildlife preserve (where you can safari).  The place had terraced gardens and stone cut buildings - pretty amazing!  We spent 3 or 4 hours with them and then headed back to our base.
This evening we’ve all packed our bags for our flight into Sudan tomorrow. Would you believe that I’ve got everything I need fit into my backpack?  Now it’s so long to perfect climate Nairobi…hello to the cooker called Nyinbuli!  We’re excited though.  We’re being picked up @ 6:30 AM and then we’ll fly out ASAP.  I think we’ll be in Sudan for 11 days.
This setup in Nairobi is perfect!  And the climate here is similar to ours back home.  There’s a constant flow of missionary families coming and going, and there’s all kinds of ministry opportunities in the area
