Day 3 in Nairobi. Peter picked us up this morning so that our team could visit a couple named Kip and Melissa, an American couple who serve as missionaries at Calvary Chapel Ongata Rongai. They are a very kind and generous couple who blessed us with a meal and tools to take into Sudan. They also live on a beautiful piece of property that overlooks the Nairobi Wildlife Preserve.
We were also pleased to see that Peter had brought Cindy with him to pick us up! Cindy is one of the two American missionaries serving in Nyimbuli, Sudan. She is in Nairobi to help one of her support staff get medical treatment at a hospital. It was very helpful to get Cindy’s insights about the work we’ll be doing in Nyimbuli.
Once back at our base in Nairobi it was time to pack everything up so that we can fly out early tomorrow morning. Because our little plane is at capacity each person is only allowed to bring 40 pounds with them. That’s a challenge for some! Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring…
